Liderët e Ballkanit Perëndimor do të mblidhen në Tiranë në datat 28 dhe 29 shkurt. Fokus i takimit do të jetë rrugëtimi i vendeve të Ballkanit Perëndimor drejt BE, ku pritet të diskutohet për objektivat e vendosura nga unioni për vendet e Ballkanit, si edhe krijimin e themeleve për hapat e ardhshëm në zbatimin e Planit të Rritjes dhe avancimit të bashkëpunimit dhe ndërveprimit me Komisionin Europian.
Lajmi për mbledhjen e lidërve në Tiranë u bë me dije gjatë tryezës ministrore të përfaqësuesve nga Ballkani Perëndimor për fushën e integrimit evropian, së bashku me Drejtorinë e Përgjithshme të Komisionit Evropian për Fqinjësinë dhe Negociatat e Zgjerimit (DG NEAR), mbi Planin e Rritjes.Kujtojmë se Komisioni Evropian, në nëntor 2023, propozoi një Plan të Rritjes për Ballkanin Perëndimor, i cili synon të zgjerojë përfitimet e Tregut Unik të Bashkimit Evropian në rajon përpara anëtarësimit formal, me synim kontributin pozitiv në rritjen ekonomike dhe përshpejtimin e konvergjencës socio-ekonomike me BE-në.
